Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5 is racing toward the ₹150 crore milestone at the Indian box office, thanks to a massive 63% surge in earnings on Saturday (Day 9). With no major releases until Sitaare Zameen Par (June 20), the comedy is enjoying a strong second weekend and is set to cross the ₹150 crore mark by Sunday.
Week 1 Success & Weekend Surge
After a solid first week, collecting ₹127.25 crore by Thursday (June 12), Housefull 5 continued its momentum into the second weekend. The film earned ₹6 crore on Friday (June 13) and saw a huge 63% jump on Saturday (June 15), adding ₹9.77 crore to its total.
As of now, the film’s domestic collection stands at ₹143.02 crore, inching closer to the ₹150 crore milestone—a feat it should easily achieve by Sunday.
Why the Sudden Jump?
Trade experts attribute the spike to the lack of competition in theaters. With Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par not releasing until June 20, Housefull 5 has a clear runway to dominate screens and attract audiences.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh predicts even bigger numbers on Sunday, stating:
“The absence of any major releases is working in its favor. Expect strong growth over the weekend.”

Globally, Housefull 5 has already crossed ₹207.6 crore gross, with ₹48 crore coming from overseas markets. In India alone, the film’s gross earnings stand at ₹159.6 crore.
